Some Fine Homebuilt Kites

Jim and Cliff Johnson's Jimini
San Diego, Cal

Jim is an exacting kite maker who made this kite with his son.  He calls it "Him and I" and Cliff flies the heck out of it while Jim drinks coffee and plans his next kite, such as the Eclipse shown below.

 

Jim made this beautiful Eclipse with G-force UL spars. He machined the T-fittings from engraved aluminum alloy to add a modicum of bling bling. A slight breeze is all it needs.
